Would a phone call or email exchange suffice? Is it important to be seen in person? Telephone consults reduce your time away from family and work, and help increase social distancing.
We have turned off ManageMyHealth appointment bookings. This is not just to allow us to ensure that we triage out patients who may have COVID-19 and protect our vulnerable patients and staff, but because many problems are manageable by telephone. We think you would rather spend time at home and reduce potential exposure! If you think you could be managed by telephone call then please let reception know that you wish to book a phone consultation. We are considering making this the default option during the pandemic. Keep safe during this difficult time. If you live alone then please consider getting a 'pandemic pal'; someone with whom you can have daily contact and gain mutual support. Always remember www.health.govt.nz for up to date, accurate information. There is also a new MoH website https://covid19.govt.nz/ |
