From Monday 23rd March we will only be seeing people in the practice where it is absolutely necessary that they are seen in person. All other consultations will be by telephone call, or use of video calling.
The platform that we are using for video consultations is https://tmpp.doxy.me Please enter this address in your search bar and then choose your provider from the list. We would appreciate it if you could login 1-2 minutes before your allocated time in case your system has any issues. Video calls will only work if you have a webcam or are using a smart phone, otherwise we would advise telephone consultation. If as a result of the consultation the provider feels that they need to see you in person then a time will be negotiated for physical examination. Nurse appointments and dressings All urgent nurse procedures will still go ahead however there will be additional precautions and we will explain these to you when you book. If you have an appointment for vaccination, contraception, or dressings then these will go ahead with some procedural changes around these. We will be in contact with you. All routine, non-time critical nurse appointment will be deferred. We will contact people about this directly, please do not post individual enquires. We will contact you if you are affected. Te Mata Peak Practice wholeheartedly supports the government’s decision to advise anyone over 70 to start social isolation. We would advise anyone with pre-existing chronic medical conditions to seriously consider the necessity of their trips. As always, visit health.govt.nz or covid19.govt.nz for up to date information. |
